During a recent live stream on Douyin, Redmi’s General Manager, Wang Teng, shared crucial information about the upcoming Redmi K80 series. The broadcast not only gave us a sneak peek at the front design of the Redmi K80 Pro but also disclosed its impressive

AnTuTu benchmark score of over 3 million points, all while keeping cool with a peak temperature of 49°C. The stream also hinted at the phone’s metal frame design. Alongside the K80 Pro, two other devices were shown, achieving scores of 2.73 million and 2.83 million points, respectively.

Wang Teng confirmed that the entire K80 series would run on the HyperOS 2 system, tailored for better gaming performance, quicker touch responses, and possibly new animations.

During the livestream, it was disclosed that the Redmi K series will revert to its dual flagship approach, featuring both a standard Redmi K80 and a K80 Pro model, while discontinuing the budget-friendly Redmi K70E line. Moreover, price hints were dropped; the Redmi K80 Pro is positioned to offer better specs than the iQOO 13 while aiming to undercut the OnePlus 13 in price. Redmi K80 Pro could indeed be priced below the 4,000 yuan mark.
