OPPO India has announced the launch of the OPPO Find X8 series smartphones in the country. It has now been revealed what the brand’s cameras are capable of.
The Find X8 series will feature a dual periscope camera system that comes with a 50MP Sony LYT 600 sensor and a 3x optical zoom. The sensor has a 1/1.95-inch diagonal and a triple-prism folded lens that reduces weight and size by 30% and 24%, respectively.
There is also a 6x periscope camera with a 50MP Sony IMX858 lens with OIS for better low-light shots. With an advanced two-layer transistor pixel structure, the phone will feature a 50MP Sony LYT 808 primary camera.
The HyperTone Image Engine has also been improved to maintain maximum image quality across mid-tones, highlights, and tones. To boost dynamic range, smartphones will be able to capture 2-DOL HDR using alternate pixels simultaneously.
The Find X8 series comes with AI Telescope Zoom, which uses AI algorithms with generative AI models. When zoomed into subjects up to 120x, it maintains clarity.
At 10x to 20x, AI-powered algorithms will enhance image resolution significantly. With 60x, the camera uses a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) model to preserve detail in colour tones, textures, and materials.
With the device, images are reconstructed at the pixel level using an AI-powered generative model at 60-120x, enabling exceptional clarity in even extreme long-distance shots. The Find X8 series will also support Dolby Vision for more precise control over output.
There will also be a dedicated camera Quick Button on the Find X8 series. With the iconic Hasselblad X2D camera, there will be a Hasselblad Camera Mode that delivers natural bokeh effects, true-to-life colour representation, and a wide dynamic range.
