The Google Pixel Tablet, launched last June, is starting to show its age without a follow-up model in sight. However, there’s no need to worry as Google has the Pixel Tablet 2 in the works.
According to recent whispers, this new version will include a keyboard case, though details on whether it will come with the tablet or be sold separately remain unclear. Additionally, there’s a buzz about the Pixel Tablet 2 featuring enhanced cameras, promising an improvement over the original’s setup.
The Pixel Tablet 2 is expected to feature a more advanced processor than the Tensor G2 in its predecessor, a hardly unexpected upgrade. It might inherit either the Tensor G4 from the Pixel 9 line or the anticipated Tensor G5, depending on its launch schedule. The device is rumored to be quite a ways off from hitting the market.
With the new processor, users can look forward to seven years of software support and the option to connect to external displays. While the design largely mirrors its forebear, the tablet could sport slimmer bezels and a slight shift in button placement.
