The upcoming iPhone 17 series from Apple might feature a major redesign where, according to a recent leak, they plan to shift the camera to a central hump, diverging from the usual corner placement of the rear camera.

The renders from the YouTube channel AppleTrack have disclosed a transformation, suggesting significant updates for the iPhone 17 lineup, among them improvements in camera performance.

The iPhone 17 Air is now leading Apple’s design evolution. Initially, it was anticipated to have just one rear camera, reminiscent of the iPhone SE or iPhone 8’s simplicity.

Surprisingly, the newest design images reveal a shift to a dual-camera system positioned centrally in a horizontal alignment, moving away from the vertical setup common in newer iPhones. The rest of the iPhone 17 lineup, however, is expected to keep their current camera configurations.

While the design of the Air model appears inconsistent with other models in its lineup, it closely resembles the more budget-friendly Nothing Phone (2a). Additionally, the iPhone 16’s design echoes both Apple’s past models and Samsung’s contemporary offerings. Pricing for this model is expected to range from $1,299 to $1,499.

Meanwhile, rumours suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro series will introduce notable enhancements, including a 48MP periscope telephoto lens in the Pro Max model, positioning it as a formidable contender against Android flagships for superior zoom capabilities.
