As we approach the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, expected in January 2025, there’s some debate over whether the reveal will occur in the beginning or toward the end of the month.
However, a recent benchmark test has shed light on one of its specifications, confirming that the standard model of the Galaxy S25 will come with 12GB of RAM. This is an upgrade from the Galaxy S24, which offered 8GB in its base version, although it too had an optional 12GB version.
The Samsung Galaxy S25, identified by model number “SM-S931N,” which is expected to be the Korean variant, has made an appearance on Geekbench. It’s equipped with a tailored “Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy” processor, distinguishable by its enhanced clock speed of 4.47 GHz, surpassing the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite’s 4.32 GHz. This chipset version has been a hallmark of Samsung’s flagship devices. The device benchmarked also features 12 GB of RAM.
Notably, the prototype benchmarked for the Korean market did include Qualcomm’s chip and was running on Android 15. However, this doesn’t definitively resolve the chipset question for all regions or models.
