After Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, Xiaomi is expected to launch Xiaomi 15 series phones next month. As of now, several leaks and rumours have surfaced about the vanilla Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. Weibo tipster “Experience More” has seemingly revealed the Xiaomi 15 Pro’s key camera upgrade in a new leak.
Xiaomi 15 Pro will be equipped with the Sony IMX858, which offers a 120mm equivalent focal length and a lossless 5x magnification. In comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Pro has a 75mm telephoto lens with optical zoom up to 3.2x.
Xiaomi’s 13 Ultra uses the Sony IMX858 sensor. With 0.7m pixels and a 1/2.51-inch optical format, this sensor is a 50MP Quad Bayer unit.
Aside from the 5x telephoto lens, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to feature a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/2.5 and a 50MP ultrawide lens.
The phone will have a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate punch-hole display, according to previous reports.
The frame will be made from metal, and rumours suggest there will be a titanium special edition as well. Around 220 grams and 8.5mm thick are expected to be the dimensions of the device.
