On Oct. 14, Vivo Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy Jia Jingdong will unveil the first details of the Vivo X200 series of flagship phones. The Vivo X200, X200 Pro Mini, and X200 Pro were also revealed, along with samples of their cameras.
Vivo X200 series features:
Vivo’s X200 series will carry on the legacy of the X100 series, which was a milestone on the company’s journey to high-end smartphones, according to Jingdong. Vivo’s X100 series solidified the brand’s reputation globally and helped it secure three consecutive years as China’s top smartphone brand within the 4-6K Yuan price range. The X200 series will continue the momentum of the X100 series, ushering in an era of smartphone innovation powered by AI.
Camera features:
X200 series cameras stand out due to their Zeiss 200MP APO super telephoto lenses. With a 135mm focal length, this lens enhances portrait compression and introduces a telephoto macro mode for more refined compositions. As an added feature, the series includes an innovative “landscape mode” for capturing stunning landscapes.
Vivo’s proprietary imaging chip V3+ and Sony LYT-818 sensor enable 4K 120fps slow motion, 10-bit log, and 4K backlit movie portrait video. In addition to providing a superior photography and videography experience, these advancements will appeal to amateurs and professionals alike.
Performance:
Based on AnTuTu benchmarks, the X200 series is powered by a Dimensity 9400 processor that has exceeded 3 million scores. With this chip, developed in collaboration with Vivo, you can perform AI tasks, interact with your voice in real-time, use smart beauty filters, and more. With “kilometre-level network-free communication,” Vivo introduces long-distance, cost-free communication without network coverage using the LoRa spread spectrum.
Improved “silicon negative electrode” and semi-solid battery technology also improve battery longevity, energy density, and low-temperature resistance. Even in extreme environments, such as Antarctica and Mount Everest, this series provides dependable performance.
OriginOS with AI:
On the X200 series, OriginOS 5 handles most daily AI tasks directly on the phone, which ensures privacy and independence. Several features are available, including millisecond-level real-time voice interaction and translation, live broadcast filters, smart beauty features, “one-sentence video editing,” smart schedule management, NPC behaviour-controlled game AI, and augmented reality overlays on objects in real time. Today, having a strong chip is no longer an option but a necessity in the AI productivity era.
Finally, Jingdong said the Vivo X200 series screen will feature a Zeiss Master Color Screen and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, similar to the iPhone retina display. With narrow borders and smooth corners, the Pro Mini will have a small flat screen.
