Vivo has joined other brands and teased its upcoming smartphone powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite. There is a possibility that this is about the X200 Ultra model.
Earlier this week, Vivo announced three of its latest X200 series smartphones: the X200, the X200 Pro, and the X200 Pro mini. The company has now dropped hints that its next flagship smartphone in the X200 series will be a Snapdragon 8 Elite model. According to what happened with the previous X100 series, the teaser image does not reveal anything about the upcoming device.
With MediaTek’s 9300 chip, the X100 and X100 Pro devices were unveiled in November 2023, followed by the X100 Ultra with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in May 2024. Vivo may have teased the X200 Ultra smartphone itself based on these clues. It also asks us to ‘Stay Tuned’, implying that a proper explanation will be available shortly. Reports indicate that the X200 Ultra launch will take place only in the first half of 2025.
It may feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 200MP telephoto camera. Support for satellite connectivity is also expected.
