Samsung’s introduction of the Galaxy A36 (and possibly the A56) will result in a change in its established design language. Giznext and OnLeaks have provided us with 3D renders of the new look.

On the back, there will no longer be three separate camera lenses but rather one camera island arranged vertically with the three lenses grouped together. This is similar to what we experienced with the Galaxy A30s a few years ago.

Samsung plans to retain some design elements from the current A-series, including the Power and Volume keys. When you include the Key Island, the A36 measures 78.4mm wide (vs. 78.0mm) or 77.9mm wide. It is 162.6mm taller than the previous model (161.7mm).

The Galaxy A36’s screen size has been increased by 1 inch to 6.64″ (up from 6.60″). With a thickness of 7.4mm, the new model will be thinner than its predecessor (whose thickness was 8.2mm). It has a thickness of 9.6mm, including the camera bump. We don’t know yet how large the battery will be.

The display is a flat panel with a centred punch hole for the selfie camera and slightly asymmetrical bezels. From the front, the A36 looks pretty similar to its predecessor. It will have a fingerprint reader built into the display, as there is no fingerprint reader on the side.
