The iQOO 13 is finally getting official details, moving beyond rumors. The company has revealed the design of its new flagship phone, the BOE Q10.
iQOO has also confirmed that the phone will use Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset along with its launch date. iQOO posted this news on Weibo. iQOO’s parent company, Vivo, has established a joint laboratory with Qualcomm, known as the Vivo Qualcomm Joint Laboratory.
iQOO says the lab will optimize chip two and create a “Blue Crystal x Snapdragon” technology stack. With Vivo’s Blue Crystal tech stack, eight key areas are improved – performance, power consumption, gaming, communication, security, imaging, display, and artificial intelligence.
MediaTek and Vivo have a similar partnership for the Dimensity 9400 chip. Blue Crystal stack is now being applied by Qualcomm for the first time.
The timing and partnership strongly suggest the post refers to the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite (or 8 Gen 4). Additionally, the “Blue Crystal x Snapdragon” will debut on the iQOO 13 first.
Another post on Weibo reveals the expected launch date for iQOO 13. It is expected to arrive at the end of October.” Qualcomm is expected to unveil its new Snapdragon processor later this month.
A recent report suggested Xiaomi might launch the first Snapdragon 8 Elite phones on October 28th, followed closely by iQOO on October 30th.
