On October 15, Google will release stable Android 15 for Pixels. Vivo, however, has outdone Google by launching Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15. According to Vivo, this release offers a “smooth experience and additional customization features.” Find out what new FuntouchOS features are available for these devices below.

After last month’s preview release, iQOO has confirmed the iQOO 12 will be the first smartphone to receive the Funtouch OS 15 stable update in India. Also released was the full list of devices receiving the beta update in India, along with the timeline, which begins mid-October 2024 and extends until May 2025.

There is a complete list of Vivo’s devices getting the beta update in India, starting with the X Fold3 Pro and the X100 series from mid-October until June 2025. According to Vivo, the update will be released in batches over time, and the stable version will follow.

A natural-feeling dynamic effect has been added to FuntouchOS 15. As a result, not only the visual experience is affected, but also the tactile one. Improved icon library, new Always-on Display styles, fingerprint animations, super-widgets, and static vibrant wallpapers. You can then better theme your phone.

You can now change the system sound and mic settings along with the draw/highlight tool in the screen recording pop-up.

AI and Privacy features:

The Album app now includes AI erase, AI photo enhancement, and AI cleanup suggestions. There is a new privacy feature that lowers the earpiece volume and an option for anti-peeping notifications.

Additional refinements include hiding app labels from the home screen, a restructured settings menu, sleep standby optimization in the battery settings, and improved Game Mode.
