On October 14, Vivo will launch its X200 series phone in China. Three smartphones will be in the line – the Vivo X200, X200 Pro mini, and X200 Pro.

In addition to design renders and leaks, a teaser and a teaser video have already surfaced. According to a tip on Weibo by Digital Chat Station (DCS), we might also know the pricing.

Regarding the X200, X200 Pro mini, and X200 Pro, DCS did not reveal the exact prices. It was instead hinted that the phones would be priced between 4,000 and 5,000 yuan (Rs.48,000/- to Rs.59,900/-). However, that’s just the beginning.

The price was later narrowed down to between 4,000 yuan and 4,XXX yuan (roughly USD Rs.48,000/- and ? RS.). “Executives have been persuaded” to reduce the price, according to the tipster.

Vivo X200 could start at 4,000 yuan, though the new range is still somewhat vague. It is likely that, despite the expected increase in component costs, the phone will remain at the same price as its predecessor.

This will likely affect device pricing, especially for the upcoming flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.

An official from Vivo even acknowledged the possibility of higher chip prices recently. Vivo could win big if it manages to maintain last year’s pricing despite these challenges.

DCS also hinted at the price of a “large cup” model in the original Weibo post, but it was not revealed in the edited post. According to DCS, the tipster is likely referring to Vivo X200 Ultra. DCS estimates that the higher-end model will cost approximately 5500 Yuan (Rs.65,900/-), pushing the price barrier ever higher.
