As we’ve already shown off, the Google Pixel 9a will get a redesign for 2025 that includes a flat camera module. The cameras are also changing this year, according to Google. The camera will ditch its 64MP primary sensor for a 48MP one. Most likely, it’s the same sensor as the rest of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
According to the renders we shared a few weeks ago, the Pixel 9a lacks a telephoto camera, while its ultrawide still stands at 13MP. It also uses the same 13MP sensor on the front-facing camera. The ultrawide and front-facing cameras retain the same sensors from last year, but the primary camera gets a major upgrade.
The Google Pixel 9a will also have the “Add Me” feature that it debuted with the Pixel 9 series in August. Using AI, you can take photos with your friends or family without asking a stranger to take them.
OnLeaks revealed new information about the Pixel 9a, including its height and width. A tipster on X said the Pixel 9a measures 154.7 x 73.2 x 8.9mm, as well as 9.4mm with the camera module.
We might also see a larger display on the Pixel 9a based on the new leaked details. Pixel 8a has a smaller display than Pixel 8, which measures 6.1 inches.
Pixel 9a will be released in mid-March 2025. We are less than six months away from the device’s release.
