Now that the Snapdragon 8 Elite is official, brands from all over are announcing launch dates for their upcoming flagship devices.
It is also anticipated that the ROG Phone 9 will excel in the area of battery life. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro had an excellent battery life previously. Qualcomm’s new series is expected to maintain or even surpass this benchmark, allowing gamers to play for longer periods without frequent recharges. ROG Phone 9 Pro and ROG Phone 9 are likely to be included in the series.
It has now been announced that Asus will launch its ROG Phone 9 series in the coming weeks, utilizing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Express. Asus will unveil the ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro on November 19 at noon CET (6 AM ET/7 PM Taipei time).
ROG Phone 9 renders show an offset pentagon-shaped camera island with three sensors and a gamer-inspired back with ROG branding and LED lights. It looks identical to the ROG Phone 8 series. For the selfie camera, there is a punch-hole cutout in the flat display on the front. AirTriggers with ROG branding can also be found on the right side.
With its “AI on, game on” tagline, Asus also teased some new AI features but didn’t reveal what they entail. The days leading up to the event will surely bring more hints, so we’ll keep you posted.
