The iPhone SE 4 will enter mass production in December, according to reports. Apple’s first smartphone in 2025 is rumoured to be an upgrade over the iPhone SE 3 and a rumour has now fleshed out the specs.

Jukanlosreve, a tipster, claims that the iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.06-inch OLED panel. The SE will feature a notch for Face ID and the front camera system, unlike Apple’s iPhone 16. It will run at 60 Hz.

A18 chip powering the device will be the same as in the base & Plus models of the iPhone 16, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Apple Intelligence appears to be able to run on the phone with double the RAM from the outgoing model.

The iPhone SE 4 will debut Apple’s first internal modem, which has the codename Centauri and will be manufactured by TSMC. There will be only one camera on the new iPhone SE 4, but the sensor will be upgraded from 12MP to 48MP. There will be a 12MP camera on the front.

It is reported that the phone will come with a 3,279mAh battery, a significant upgrade over the current model’s 2,018mAh. With the screen size reportedly growing to 6.06 inches, the phone will have plenty of room for a larger battery. Unlike its predecessor, the phone will also support MagSafe accessories in addition to 20W wired charging.

According to the leak, the starting price will either be $499 or $549, but the magnitude of the increase is unknown.
