The launch of M4-powered MacBooks was expected sooner or later. Next week is the expected launch date for new Macs, according to Apple.
Beginning on October 28, Apple will announce a series of “exciting announcements” related to its Mac lineup. A post on X (formerly Twitter) by Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President, encouraged followers to “Mac” their calendars for the upcoming event.
Apple will release multiple press releases and possibly video content throughout the week, instead of its usual annual Mac product launch event.
Using the message as a guide, we should expect the new Mac announcements to last for a week. Based on Apple’s promotion of its iPhone 16 family and iPad mini 7, it’s no surprise that Apple will focus on Apple Intelligence in the new Macs.
This year, Apple introduced the M4 chip in the iPad Pro, which is expected to power several new models. The list includes 14-inch MacBook Pro, top-end MacBook Pro models, iMac and Mac Mini.
Apple’s software ecosystem may also be updated, introducing Apple Intelligence-branded features. As well as the hardware announcements, Apple will introduce updated Magic Keyboards, Magic Mouses, and Magic Trackpads for USB-C.
