In addition to its Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro models set to launch later this month, Xiaomi will introduce the 15 Ultra early next year as its top-of-the-line model.
Many details about the 15 Ultra have already been covered. The phone’s design may have been revealed by a new leak. According to the leak coming out of China, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has beefy cameras.
The camera island on the back of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra looks quite similar to that on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. In terms of lens arrangement, there is a slight difference.
As opposed to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which has two lenses on each side, the former has one lens at the top and three at the bottom.
There should be a 200MP periscope telephoto module at the top which is likely to be the same Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor as on the Vivo X100 Ultra. It would be an upgrade from the 14 Ultra’s 50MP Sony IMX858 camera.
Below it, you can see the rumoured 1-inch main camera, the same as the 14 Ultra. The sensor is expected to be a 50MP Sony LYT-900 with optical image stabilization (OIS).
However, there is likely to be no change to the ultrawide and telephoto cameras. Both lenses are expected to be 50MP Sony IMX858s, offering 122-degree ultrawide views and 75mm telephoto views. There will also be Leica tuning throughout.
On the front, the device has flat edges and a punch-hole cutout.
