The Redmi Watch 5 Active was launched by Xiaomi last month, and the Redmi Watch 5 Lite was announced today.
Unlike the Watch 5 Active, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes with an always-on AMOLED display. It measures 1.96″ diagonally and is 600 nits brighter. The resolution is also higher (502×410 pixels) and supports 200+ cloud watch faces, 50+ are customizable and 30+ are always-on.
HyperOS runs on the Redmi Watch 5 Lite, which is compatible with smartphones running Android 6 or iOS 12 and above. Additionally, it supports emojis and the Hindi language. It supports Bluetooth calling and comes with a speaker and two microphones for environmental noise cancellation (ENC).
Redmi Watch 5 Lite features a heart rate sensor and 150+ indoor and outdoor sports modes for tracking health and fitness. Due to its 5 ATM water resistance, it can also track swimming performance.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite also features a multi-functional side button, GPS, SpO2 sensor, and Bluetooth 5.3. The watch is powered by a 470mAh battery, which is advertised to last up to 18 days under normal use and 12 days under heavy use.
Without straps, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite weighs 29.2g with an adjustable length of 135-200mm and a dial that weighs 29.2g. Colours include Black and Light Gold, while straps include Candy Pink, Mint Green, and Lemon Yellow.
Xiaomi’s Indian website will begin selling the Redmi Watch 5 Lite on September 26 at midnight for INR3,999/-.
