With the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+, Xiaomi seems to be taking things one step further. Next week, the company will release its upcoming “King Kong Guarantee Service.” Here’s what you can expect.

There are five main benefits to the King Kong Guarantee. There is a one-year warranty against accidental water damage. Liquid ingress is excluded from most standard warranties, so this is a nice perk. Secondly, you get a free replacement if you crack the screen within the first year.

It also covers the battery cover for a year, which might be helpful for those who drop their phones face down a lot. The real highlight, however, is the five-year battery warranty. Xiaomi will replace your battery for free if its health drops below 80% or if you experience performance issues during that timeframe. Considering that most phone batteries start showing signs of wear after 2-3 years, this is a generous offer.

As a final feature, the King Kong Guarantee includes a “365-day replacement without repair” clause. Your phone will be replaced instead of repaired if you experience hardware failure within the first year.

It is important to keep a few things in mind, though. Activating King Kong Guarantee might cost an additional 595 yuan (roughly USD 85), according to reports.
