In November last year, Vivo released its X100 and X100 Pro smartphones, but their successors will be released earlier, as rumoured before and ‘confirmed’ today by a new Chinese report.

After Apple’s iPhone 16 family launches later this month, the X200 and X200 Pro will arrive in early October instead.

With the X200 and X200 Pro, vivo will compete head-on with Apple’s new offerings in China, where it sold the most smartphones in July and August. After Huawei and Apple, Vivo is third in the premium segment.

Specs:

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC has long been rumoured to power the X200 and X200 Pro. A 6.3-inch flat OLED screen on the X200 is expected to have a 120 Hz refresh rate and “1.5K” resolution. The camera will have a 50 MP Sony sensor, a 50 MP 3x periscope zoom camera, and a 50 MP ultrawide. There will be a 5,500-5,600 mAh battery with a 90W wired charger.

Pro is expected to feature a curved “1.5K” 120 Hz OLED screen. Further a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera (probably from the X100 Ultra), a 50 MP main sensor with large aperture, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. The battery should be 6,000 mAh or larger. In addition, IP68/IP69 dust, water resistance, and an improved vibration motor have also been rumoured.
