Vivo and Oppo are planning to launch new foldable phones in the first quarter of 2025, according to a recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station. Oppo is working on the Find N5, which may be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 globally. The Vivo X Fold 4 is reportedly being prepared for launch, according to reports. It is currently being referred to as the Vivo X Fold 4, though its name has yet to be confirmed. DCS has reportedly revealed key specifications of the X Fold 4 in a recent Weibo post.

As revealed by tipster Digital Chat Station, a foldable phone is rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is nothing but the SM8750. It has been reported that both the Oppo Find N5 and the Vivo X Fold 4 are expected to feature the SD8G4 SoC. It is not clear what the device is named, but it will still support wireless charging, according to the tipster.

Vivo X Fold 4 is likely to feature a round camera module on the back, according to the leak. The triple camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary camera and a periscope telephoto lens.

An around 6,000mAh silicon battery will power the device, and it will support wireless charging. Additionally, it will be water-resistant to IPX8 standards. When folded, the phone will be approximately 8.x mm thick, and its fibreglass variant will weigh around 21 grams.
