Following the Galaxy S25 Ultra, both the North American and European versions, the Galaxy S25 Plus processor is now ready to shine. According to Geekbench, the US version of the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, and its benchmark score is impressive.
The Galaxy S25+ boasts two performance cores clocked at 4.19 GHz, outpacing the recently leaked Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 4.47 GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Hence, the multicore score count gives some ground.
On Geekbench, comparing apples to apples, or the unlocked versions for sale in the US that are both clocked at 4.19 GHz maximum, the S25+ beats the S25 Ultra in multicore counts. As usual, Samsung’s upcoming S25 flagship phones will run on a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset called Snapdragon for Galaxy, which could explain the discrepancies.
With engineering prototypes, Qualcomm and Samsung are most likely still tweaking the exclusive features that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will offer and finding the sweet spot of power consumption and performance.
The Galaxy S25 Plus has a smaller display with fewer pixels to push and refresh, so it might have a slight edge in benchmarks before the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
