Introducing Nothing Ear (open), the brand’s first open-ear wireless earbuds. With their semi-transparent design, they feature Nothing’s signature on-ear design with wrap-around ear hooks. The Ear (open) is aimed at users who value situational awareness and all-day comfort, not active noise cancellation.

Nothing products have always been designed with a focus on design, and the Ear (open) carries the now signature translucent look associated with the brand. Speakers rest outside the ear, and the buds have silicone ear hooks and a three-point balance system. To prevent sound leakage and ensure privacy, Nothing developed a new Sound Seal System with directional speakers. In addition to being dust and splash-resistant, each bud weighs 8.1 grams.

A titanium-coated 14.2mm driver is featured in each ear (open). The earphones pair via Bluetooth 5.3 and support pairing with up to two devices at once. For media playback, volume control, and call management, each earbud includes dual mics with Clear Voice 3.0 technology.

Ear (open) works with Nothing X, just like previous buds. From the app, you can tweak and share EQ profiles, customize controls, and update firmware. Furthermore, the buds support Find My Network, low latency mode for gaming and integrated ChatGPT connectivity.

The buds and their 64mAh batteries are rated for 8 hours of playback, while the 635 mAh battery in this case extends the total playtime to 30 hours. Wireless charging is not available, only USB-C.
