The Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro received a software update last month that added the ability to record calls. Both smartphones now have the MR2 update with AI features.
There is AI Eraser, powered by Google Cloud’s generative AI, and Face-to-Face Translation, which provides translation in multiple languages in real-time.
As part of the MR2 update, the Android security patch level on the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro has been updated to September 2024. More details can be found in the changelog below.
- Security Update
- Integrated with the September 2024 Google security patch.
- AI Eraser
- Powered by advanced Google Cloud generative AI, this feature allows users to easily remove unwanted objects, text, and background elements from photos. It then fills in the gaps with realistic content, ensuring high photo quality.
- Face-to-Face Translation
- Provides real-time translation for multiple languages, supporting both voice and text input. The feature is ideal for travelers and language learners, enabling translation broadcasts for seamless communication.
- USB Data Security
- Enhances security by requiring user authentication when switching USB modes from “Charge only” to data transfer modes.
- Split-Screen App Combinations
- Allows users to save app combinations in split-screen mode as home screen icons for quick access.
Honor says this update will reach all users by September 13, and if it doesn’t, users can manually check for it by heading to their phones’ Settings > System & updates > Software update menu and clicking on “Check for Updates.”
