Apple recently unveiled the iPhone 16 lineup at Glowtime. There was a general assumption that Apple’s 2024 releases were over, but it appears the Cupertino giant is preparing for another hardware event. The latest Macs could be the focus this time.

Mac Mini:

Rumours indicate that the Mac Mini will be updated this year. In January 2023, it was last updated, and it’s expected to receive a new version powered by the latest M4 chipset. It is also possible that the upcoming Mac Mini will feature a sleeker design than the current model.

Mac Minis powered by M4 might not be the only Macs expected at this event, however. Apple may also release Macs with the M4 Pro chipset, though details are still scarce.

MacBook Pro:

MacBooks, especially the Pro models, are usually equipped with the latest SoCs from Apple. Last November, the MacBook Pros received the M3 chip, and it appears Apple is following the same pattern.

We’re likely to see new MacBook Pros powered by the M4 chip at the same event as the announcement of the chip. The details of this update, however, are limited. There won’t be any major design changes or significant upgrades this year, only a spec bump.

iMac:

At this upcoming event, the iMac could also receive an update, according to leaks and rumours. It looks like Apple may follow suit with an upgrade to the M4 chip after the last refresh in November 2023.

Additionally, rumours suggest Apple may introduce an iMac with a 32-inch display. Currently, details about this size upgrade are unclear.

As Apple has not officially confirmed or teased any details, all the information above is based on leaks and speculation.

iPad Mini:

According to Gurman, the event will feature new iPads (plural), including a new iPad mini, so we can expect to see the iPad 11th generation there as well.

The upcoming iPad mini is expected to have a faster chip, better front and rear cameras, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support, and new colours.
