A new operating system was introduced by Xiaomi last year, called HyperOS. MIUI has been replaced by this operating system as the default operating system on new Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones. The HyperOS operating system was also gradually rolled out to older phones. Xiaomi is reportedly working on HyperOS 2.0. It is reported that the new version will include a feature that can detect hidden cameras.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 update will detect hidden cameras, according to XiaomiTime. The search will be based on a WLAN (wireless local area network).
In the report, there’s a screenshot of the feature dubbed “Camera scan.” It says, “Detect hidden cameras to protect your privacy and safety.” Once you tap it, a scan will begin. Upon completion of the scan, you’ll be able to see the results on the screen.
Having this feature on a phone would be extremely helpful for security and privacy. Xiaomi has not provided any official information about the feature, but it appears that it will be included in HyperOS 2.0. The feature is expected to be available on several Xiaomi phones as soon as the update is released.
Additionally, Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 will also feature an iOS-like recent apps panel that allows you to swipe through the different apps. There is also a possibility of adding a RAM boost up to 16GB from a minimum of 6GB.
