According to reports, Xiaomi is working on the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro for the Chinese market. These will be the first phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset to be released in October. Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which will feature the same chip and better cameras, will be released in the first half of 2025. Ice Universe has leaked a few key details about what appears to be the 15 Ultra’s camera capabilities.
It appears the tipster is referring to an upcoming Xiaomi phone with quad cameras. There is a rumour that the upcoming 15 and 15 Pro will feature triple cameras. Thus, it appears that the above leak refers to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
According to the new leak, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a telephoto lens with a 4.x optical zoom and a 200-megapixel resolution. There is a good chance that it will be a periscope telephoto camera. Additionally, the tipster noted that Xiaomi fans can expect significant satisfaction from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s comprehensive coverage and extensive zoom capabilities.
There have been some reports recently revealing details about the 15 Ultra. According to a recent leak, the device will have a dual-layer OLED panel with a resolution of 2K. Security will be provided by an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the screen. Android 15 will run on HyperOS 2.0-based HyperOS 2.0.
Up to 24 GB of RAM is expected to be available on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered device. The battery could be as large as 6,200mAh.
