The iPhone 16 series is expected to launch in September, and we’ve seen a fair amount of leaks that suggest a redesign of the base iPhone 16. Earlier this week, Sonny Dickson shared an image of the iPhone 16 in five colour options, confirming the new vertical camera alignment.

This year’s iPhone 16 comes in white, black, blue, green, and pink, which seem more saturated than last year’s iPhone 15. We can also see the power button and the rumoured Capture button on the right-hand side of the device, both of which have a glossy finish. A new mechanical button with a capacitive surface will enable swiping gestures for zooming. On iPhones sold in the US, it appears to be placed in the same place as the mmWave antenna.

Additionally, all iPhone 16 devices are rumoured to feature the Action button, which will finally eliminate the mute switch. Apple’s vanilla iPhone 16 is expected to launch with a 5.8-inch OLED display, capped at 60 Hz, and with FHD+ resolution. There may be thinner bezels on the display, which would be welcome.

Apple’s iPhone 16 series devices will all launch with the Apple A18 chipset, with the Pro models getting the A18 Pro while the vanilla models will get the A18. The iPhone 16 will also have a 3,561 mAh battery, which is 6% larger than the iPhone 15’s.
