Every year Samsung tweaks its premium S-series to improve looks and ergonomics, despite a fairly consistent design. There has been varying success with them. The Galaxy S Ultra, in particular, features a rectangular design with sharp corners that dig into your hand. The Galaxy S24 Ultra may be the worst in that regard.

For next year, Samsung might stick with something different than the four design prototypes previously rumoured for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. A render of the Korean giant’s top-end model shows slightly rounded corners and thinner bezels than before.

It appears that Samsung is finally changing course and aiming for rounded designs. Ice Universe, a renowned leaker and outspoken Samsung critic has shared these upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra mock-ups.

It’s true, the corners are no longer 90° angles that pierce the palm. According to Ice, the S25 Ultra’s design will be more similar to the S24 and S24+. This means a flat front and back.

The back may remain rounder than the front, giving the phone a softer shape that would be more comfortable to hold. Compared to its predecessor, the new S-flagship has rounded corners – both on the frame and on the display.

Fortunately, the device will retain its titanium chassis, but it will retain its Grade 2 variant due to improved bonding. With slimmer bezels, Samsung will also reduce the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s footprint without compromising on-screen real estate, making it easier to hold for people with smaller hands.
