Sammobile reports that Samsung’s OneUI 7 beta based on Android 15 will arrive in September instead of this month. It’s not clear when OneUI 7 will be released, but Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6 and S24 series will be the first to run it.

OneUI 6.1.1 update, which is still being seeded to older Samsung devices, is believed to be the reason for the delay.

At launch, OneUI 7 will be available in seven countries, including South Korea, China, Germany, India, Poland, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Users in South Korea, Germany, and the US are expected to be among the first to receive the update as usual.

To get your hands on OneUI 7’s beta features, you’ll have to register via the Samsung Members app. The OneUI 7 update includes the following features.

Features:

The notification area and quick settings panel can also be merged if the user so desires. It is also possible to keep those pages independent. It seems there is a pill-shaped animation that displays ongoing activities from more apps (like the timer). With One UI 7.0, a new animation appears when unlocking a device.

It is reported that Samsung has added animations that can be stopped by the user (such as the ability to open an app from the home screen and then stop it by clicking the home screen). It is also said that the South Korean firm has improved the animations of opening and closing apps. One UI 7.0 will feature a new battery icon and a charging animation shaped like a bar.

Several new widgets (of various sizes) have been added to the home screen and lock screen of the phone. One UI 7.0 will also support large-sized app folders on the home screen, according to the tipster.

A completely redesigned camera app is also included in One UI 7.0. According to reports, One UI 7.0 also supports sending and receiving SMS over 5G networks. Also, notification pop-ups and closing animations seem to have been updated.

Before the end of this month, Samsung will likely open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series. China, Germany, India, South Korea, the UK, and the US may offer the beta program.
