This is a sad day for Samsung Galaxy phone users. Samsung has pushed back the launch date of One UI 7 until sometime this month. It’s worse than that, according to a new report. One UI 7 has been postponed indefinitely by Samsung.
Samsung’s latest build of Android was originally supposed to have been out by now. There have been a lot of leaks about what the interface could look like, so we wondered if it was usable. As a result of the first delay, that dream was already dashed. It even claimed that One UI 6.1.1 was to blame for this delay.
In any case, Samsung fans are not going to like this news. If all went according to plan, One UI 7 would have been released not long after Android 15 was released for the Pixel phones. As it stands now, we shouldn’t expect to see it anytime soon.
On X.com, two reliable sources report this news. According to Ice Universe, Samsung has “no plans to launch [the beta] soon.” Chun Bhai stated that it “has been delayed indefinitely.”
As of now, we don’t know what caused this delay, but suspending something indefinitely is never a good thing. Beta testers aren’t sure when the stable version will be released, never mind the public.
The leaks and rumours suggest One UI 7 will be a massive overhaul of the user interface. Icons for the gallery app and camera app are different from what we have now. Additionally, the company is working on improving the animations across the interface. Samsung might have a hard time finishing this whole revamp in time for the release.
