The company launched the Xiaomi X Pro QLED Series televisions along with a new smartwatch under its sub-brand. The Redmi Watch 5 Active replaces the Watch 3 Active from last year. It has the same design as its predecessor, but some incremental upgrades in terms of specifications and features.
The Redmi Watch 5 Active has a square dial with curved corners and a physical button on its right side. This device features a large 2-inch display with a 500 nits peak brightness for better visibility. With IPX8 certification, the smartwatch is waterproof up to 5ATM.
With the Redmi Watch 5 Active, you can track stress, sleep, and heart rate 24 hours a day. A woman can also use it to monitor her menstrual cycle. A breathing reminder is also included. More than 140 sports modes are supported by the wearable device, which includes auto-detection for some activities.
There is a built-in speaker and microphone on the Redmi Watch 5 Active for Bluetooth voice calling. This is the first Redmi wearable to run Xiaomi’s HyperOS. The device includes features such as SOS, privacy lock, theatre mode, torch, and find your phone. You can also give voice commands to Alexa to perform tasks. With a 470mAh battery, the smartwatch offers a battery life of up to 18 days.
There is a special launch price of Rs 2,799 for the Redmi Watch 5 Active. From September 3, it will be available on Amazon, Flipkart, and the brand’s website. You can choose between Midnight Black and Matte Silver for the smartwatch.
