The Redmi 14C is the latest budget option from Xiaomi’s Redmi brand. It is confirmed that the device will launch in Vietnam on August 31st. A Vietnamese retailer has revealed the phone’s specs ahead of the launch.
Design:
As with every new series from Redmi, the 14C features a fresh design. It has a large circular camera module on the back, completely different from its predecessor. The 14C looks more like the Oppo F27 5G that was recently launched in India.
It even has an attractive gradient finish that gives it a more premium appearance. Despite this, this is still a very budget-friendly device.
There are four rings on the camera module: one contains a 50-megapixel main sensor, another likely holds a depth sensor, and a third houses the LED flash. There is no functional purpose to the fourth ring.
The Redmi 14C is also available in Green with a vegan leather finish and Black.
Specs:
The new Redmi 14C will sport a 6.88-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, & a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection and an oleophobic coating & 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra SoC coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GBÂ storage.
It features a 50MP main rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The device comes with an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 5160 mAh battery with 18W charging support. The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, NFC, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 14 OS with HyperOS on top.
It’s also unclear what the Redmi 14C will cost, but it should be a budget-friendly device. We won’t know the price until the official launch on August 31st.
