The battery capacities for Oppo’s Find X8, X8 Pro, and X8 Ultra have been leaked in China today along with those for the upcoming Reno13 and Reno13 Pro, which are expected to launch soon. Moreover, this all bodes well for longevity.

Digital Chat Station claims that the Find X8 will have a 5,600 mAh battery, the Find X8 Pro will have a 5,700 mAh battery, and the Find X8 will have a 5,800 mAh battery. All of these will use dual-cell technology.

These will both have single-cell batteries, 5,600mAh for the Reno13 and 5,900mAh for the Reno13 Pro. The new silicon technology can pack more capacity into the same space as the older technology in all of these batteries.

With these numbers in mind, Samsung’s decision to keep the Galaxy S25 Ultra at 5,000 mAh makes even less sense. The reason these increases are coming from Chinese smartphone makers across the board is a perfect storm of two factors combined: first, there’s the availability of new silicon technology, and second, the rumoured increase in Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 consumption for flagship devices.
