OnePlus is working on a successor to last year’s OnePlus Buds Pro 2. It was rumoured that the Buds Pro 3 would come in three different colours – black, gold, and green. It was unclear, however, what the design and specifications would be. The latest leak (via Smartprix) sheds more light on the design and specifications of the Buds Pro 3. A launch may also be on the horizon, according to the publication.
Design:
According to the images, the case will look similar to the Nord Buds 3 Pro from OnePlus. The earbuds, however, appear to be slightly different in design. On the front of the case, it appears to have a leather finish. Right next to the pairing button is a Type-C port for charging. Each earbud is engraved with the words “Co-created with Dynaudio” and the ONEPLUS logo is written on the case. The weight of the case is 61 grams.
The latest images reveal two colour options – black and a mixture of silver and gold. At the tips of the earbuds, the stem will be glossy, while the stem will be matte.
Specs:
It is reported that the earbuds are equipped with 11mm woofers and 6mm tweeters, each powered by its own DAC.
The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4, which offers 94ms low-latency audio, which can be suitable for certain scenarios like gaming. Audio quality is reportedly enhanced with stereo-grade clarity and depth through the LHDC 5.0 codec, which supports bit rates up to 1 Mbps and 24-bit/192 kHz. Dual-device connectivity will be supported by this product.
There will be a 43-hour battery life on the Buds 3 Pro, as well as fast charging capabilities. In just 10 minutes, it can play 5 hours of music. ANC was not mentioned in the leak at the time. It has a four-hour longer battery life than its predecessor.
The active noise cancellation (ANC) has also been improved to 50db from 49db in the predecessor. Additionally, voice calls should sound twice as clear.
Moreover, the Buds Pro 3 is IP55 dust and water-resistant, so it should survive a little splash of rain, sweat, or water. As of now, it’s unclear what the price will be of the new device in India, but it’s expected to be in the range of Rs 12,000 as its predecessor was launched for Rs 11,999.
