HMD is also gearing up to launch more smartphones in its revamped portfolio, including the HMD Hyper, in the coming months. The HMD Skyline marked a big return for the brand. HMD Hyper images and specs leaked last week, showcasing its Lumia-inspired design.

HMD Hyper will sport a 6.5″ OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of storage. Surprisingly the phone comes with a storage expansion option via microSD card slot.
HMD Hyper comes with a 50MP main sensor coupled with a 13MP ultra-wide. There is a new 8MP 2x telephoto camera with 4x zoom support. Within the punch-hole cutout is a 50MP camera for selfies. With its AI Capture Fusion, HMD maximizes the detail in photos taken with it.
Moreover, it will be dust and splash-resistant, with an IP67 rating. The device ships with a 4700 mAh battery with 33W fast charge and 15W wireless charging support.
The HMD Hyper will also have an under-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. It runs on Android 14 OS out of the box. Security updates will be provided for 3 years and 2 OS updates.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/A-GPS, Galileo L1/L5 dual-band, GLONASS, BDS, USB Type-C, NFC.
