HMD finally announced its Barbie-themed flip phone after months of teasers. It is essentially a glammed-up Nokia 2660 Flip but with some software and styling tweaks.

The Mattel collaboration features a lot of pinks. As well as a removable 1,450mAh pink battery and a pink USB-C cable, the phone comes with a colour-matched polishing cloth. There are two replaceable back covers, a beaded strap, attachable charms, and Barbie stickers included.

It has a 2.8-inch main screen and a 1.77-inch cover screen. There is a Unisoc T107 chipset with 64MB RAM and 128MB storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. It features a single VGA (0.3MP) camera, Bluetooth 5, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port for charging and data transfer.

In most markets, the S30+ operating system is used, but the US version will run KaiOS instead. Custom Barbie icons, wallpapers, and ringtones were added to the UI of the phone by HMD. There is also a digital well-being tip, a Barbie Meditation app, and a self-care reminder on the Barbie phone.

The HMD Barbie Phone costs $129/€129/£99 and is on sale in most parts of the world today. The US version will be available in October.
