If the rumours are to be believed, Samsung’s foldable ambitions will go beyond the Galaxy Z Fold 6. For months, speculation has focused on a slimmer, possibly more premium foldable phone codenamed “Q6A.” GalaxyClub has now revealed some of the first details about its camera.
According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim (model number SM-F958N) will include a familiar 10MP front-facing camera. Its main and telephoto sensors remain unknown, but the leak suggests an ultrawide camera with 12MP.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim could significantly upgrade the under-display camera (UPC). The Slim variant reportedly has a 5MP UPC instead of the standard Z Fold 6’s 4MP sensor.
You shouldn’t expect a dramatic improvement in the image quality of selfies when the phone is unfolded, as the upgrade is relatively minor.
When folded, the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim will measure 10mm and feature a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch foldable main display. It may also be the first Samsung foldable to be made of titanium.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim may not be available globally, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold6. Rumours suggest a launch in Korea and China only, with European and North American markets notably absent.
According to The Chosun Daily, the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim will go official in Korea on September 25 – just a month from now. In terms of price, it is expected to cost around 2.8 million won (approximately $2,100), which is $200 more than the starting price of the standard Galaxy Z Fold6.
