According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in this weekend’s Power On newsletter, Apple will not delay the release of the new iPhone 16 models, despite Apple Intelligence not launching until October.

Apple Intelligence was pushed to iOS 18.1 last week, resulting in the feature set missing the initial release of iOS 18 in September. Because only the highest-end iPhone 15 Pro models currently support these features, Apple Intelligence is expected to play a significant role in making the upcoming iPhone 16 models more appealing to customers.

Gurman confirms that iPhones will launch around the same time as last year, likely on September 10th. For the first Apple Intelligence features to be available, users will need to update to iOS 18.1 a few weeks later.

The iPhone 16 series was expected to be released by Apple in September of this year. It has been reported that Apple may launch its new iPhone lineup on September 10. It is anticipated that the phones will go on sale on September 20. Even though we are still more than a month away from the launch, numerous leaks and rumours have already provided insight into the devices to come.
