According to new details, both iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max devices will have bigger batteries than previous-generation models, but the smaller iPhone 16 Pro device may see the biggest improvements.

According to Weibo leaker Instant Digital, the iPhone 16 Pro (3,577 mAh) and iPhone 16 Pro Max (4,676 mAh) have mAh data that matches previous leaks.

The iPhone 16 Pro’s capacity has increased by over 9% over the previous Pro model (303 mAh). Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, while not as dramatic as its smaller sibling, gains over 5% in battery capacity (254 mAh). With these improvements and efficiency enhancements, both devices should be able to offer more sustained real-world usage on a single charge.

Compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the iPhone 16 Pro Max may boast a battery life of 30 hours or more. Stackable batteries will be used for increased energy density and longer lifespan on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

It is also reported that both devices will support fast charging of 40W with wired connections and 20W with MagSafe. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models can be wirelessly charged at up to 15W with an official MagSafe charger from Apple and authorized third parties, while iPhone 15 models can be charged at up to 27W with an appropriate USB-C power adapter.
