The Pixel 9 series will debut in a few days, but Apple’s iPhone 16 launch is also just a few days away. However, a YouTube video featuring detailed hands-on views of iPhone 16 dummy units gives us a glimpse of what to expect from Apple’s next flagship.

The non-Pro iPhone 16 models exhibit a marked return to vibrant and saturated colours, a stark departure from the muted shades of recent years. The leaked dummy units are available in royal blue, teal/green, pink/rose, as well as black and white. Compared to past models, even the black colourway appears to be a deeper, more saturated hue.

All iPhone 16 models may have a matte finish instead of the glossy finish of previous non-Pro iPhones, according to the video. In addition to being visually pleasing, this new design is expected to provide a more premium experience.

It appears that the iPhone 16 retains the same dimensions and port cutouts as the iPhone 15. Multiple leaks have revealed that the camera module is undergoing a significant redesign. Unlike the iPhone X’s configuration, the new setup features vertically stacked dual cameras, though their lens holes are larger.

Compared to the iPhone 15, non-Pro iPhones have the Action button instead of the silent switch this year. The new button could serve as a camera shutter or another customizable action button on all iPhones this year. It appears that the narrator observed the iPhone 15’s modified mmWave antenna cutout might be included in the dummy units.

The dummy units do not reveal any differences in the screen, but rumours suggest the iPhone 16 series will have smaller bezels. With the same chassis dimensions, the screen size could be increased by 0.1-0.2 inches. Apple’s A18 chip is expected to power the iPhone 16 series internally.
