In China, foldables are slimming down in size while offering more powerful chipsets, cameras, and larger batteries. With its 5x periscope lens and 4 rear cameras, Xiaomi’s Mix Fold 4 takes on the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Honor Magic V3.

With a few changes, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 retains the boxy look of the Mix Fold 3. As opposed to three lenses, the rectangular camera island now houses four lenses.
Folded, the device is just 9.47m thick and 4.59mm thin when unfolded. A curved aluminium frame with tapered sides was chosen by Xiaomi. Its internal structure is constructed from T800H high-strength carbon fibre, which is remarkably light and offers 300% better impact resistance than Mix Fold 3. Xiaomi’s first foldable phone features an IPX8 rating, making it water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 features a 2K resolution and a 7.98-inch Samsung E7 material 1 foldable LTPO screen with UTG protection. The outer 21:9 FHD+ TCL C8+ 1-120Hz display is protected by Samsung E7 material 1 and measures 6.56 inches.
Both panels support 120Hz refresh rates and Dolby Vision. Their maximum peak brightness is 3000 nits. There is even a rating of 2000 nits for their global brightness.
Dual stereo speakers accompany these two screens. Based on Android 14, HyperOS AI runs on the phone. This handset is said to be fully optimized for the top 200 apps in China.
With LPDDR5x 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage, the smartphone is powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. With a 5100mAh battery, it supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Finally, the device boasts a Leica-tuned quad-camera system and two 20MP front-facing cameras. The Mix Fold 4 comes with a Leica quad camera setup and Summilux lenses in the camera department. The 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor is the main sensor, along with 12MP OV13B10 ultra-wide, 50MP OmniVision OV60A40 9cm 2x telephoto. There is a 10MP 5x periscope camera. The other three cameras have OIS except for the ultra-wide camera.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 comes in White, Black, Blue, and Xiaomi composite fibre editions.
