Vivo is preparing to launch the V40 series of smartphones in India shortly. Another report reveals the company’s upcoming devices before any official announcement. Its battery size and IP rating have been revealed in this way.
A source close to the matter shared the news with 91Mobiles. According to reports, Vivo’s V40 series will launch in India as the slimmest phone with a large 5,500mAh battery. The Vivo V40 lineup consists of the base model and the higher-end Vivo V40 Pro. In addition, both models will be IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.
Hence, the Vivo V40 launch in India might feature identical specs to the European version. According to the sources, the V40 Pro model likely has a larger battery capacity than the V40, even though the sources did not explicitly state so. As a result, the Vivo V40 Pro may be able to support faster charging. There will be three colour options offered for the Vivo V40 lineup in India, namely Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Gray. Possibly exclusive to India, Ganges Blue is a new colour.
Besides the IP rating, the Vivo V40 series will be cushioned for durability. The front of the devices could have a 3D curved display, while the back will have a new Infinity Eye Camera. As far as we know, the Vivo V40 series will come with Zeiss cameras.
