According to reports, Samsung will experiment with its lineup of flagship tablets. There will only be two versions of the Galaxy Tab S10 series – Plus and Ultra. The lineup is aimed at competing with iPads. Samsung is the second-largest tablet manufacturer in the US, according to a recent report from market research firm Canalys.

Apple’s market share in the region is significantly higher compared to its own. With the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus as the base model, Samsung may be hoping to provide more capable devices and compete effectively with Apple’s latest offerings, while not focusing primarily on price.

Korean platform Naver reported the news. According to the source, the Galaxy Tab S10 series will compete directly with Apple’s iPad, which was recently released with an OLED display. Samsung’s new flagship tablets may be released “as early as the second half of this year”, according to the report. The Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Ultra are expected to begin mass production this month.

Beginning in 2022, the Galaxy Tab S8 series was the first of three models released by the company. Tab S7 series mostly includes two models: Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus. Last year’s Tab S9 series comes in three different sizes – 11″, 12.4″, and 14.6″. The Tab S10 may come in even larger sizes.

For the Plus model, Samsung might choose a 12+” AMOLED panel to compete with the latest 11″ and 13″ iPad Pros.
