Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold Slim will sport a display that has the same aspect ratio as the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s – 19.59:9. Ice Universe, a prolific leaker, provided this information from China.

Despite the same aspect ratio, the new Fold’s outer screen will be smaller than the S24 Ultra’s, at 6.5″. On the inside, an 8-inch folding display will do the job. These panels are both larger than those in Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 announced earlier this month.

It was previously rumoured that the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra would be called the Galaxy Z Fold Slim. According to reports, it will have a titanium frame and will be thinner and lighter than the Fold6. Hence, it will be a premium, even more expensive folding smartphone.

There is still no word on where it will launch, but it is expected to launch in the fourth quarter, so between October and December. There were some rumours that it would only be available in Korea and China, but Ice Universe says the Slim is not to be confused with the Samsung W25, which is a dedicated foldable for the Chinese market. More details should leak as time passes, so stay tuned.
