The Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 specifications were leaked just a week before Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Evan Blass, a well-known tech leaker, shared marketing images of both phones in his Substack newsletter.
According to the leaks, the Flip6 will have a brighter screen, a bigger battery, and better cooling. Both phones are also durable.
Galaxy Z Fold6:
The Galaxy Z Fold6 5G will sport the new two Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays of 7.6 inches with a resolution of 2176 x 1856 pixels (21.6:18 aspect ratio) with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top and there is a secondary 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED display (2316 x 968p). There is an Armor Aluminium frame.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 5G is indeed powered by SD 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB internal storage space. It comes with triple rear cameras featuring 50MP with f / 1.8, 1.8 µm, OIS, 2PD, 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4, OIS, with 3x optical zoom and 12MP ultra-wide sensor with 123-degrees FoV, f/2.2 aperture with LED flash.
There is a new 4MP under-display selfie camera on the internal display with an f/1.8 aperture. There is a 10MP selfie camera on the external display with an f/2.2 aperture. The Galaxy Z Fold6 5G is also certified with an IP48 rating making it dust and water-resistant. It also gets S-Pen support, wireless charging, and Dolby Atmos speakers.
The connectivity option includes a Single SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, NaVIC, USB Type-C, Wifi-6, and Bluetooth 5.3. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 on top.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 ships with a 4400 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be available in three colours: Navy, Pink, and Silver Shadow. Last but not least, the new foldable is thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
Galaxy Z Flip6:
The new Galaxy Z Flip6 5G will sport the same 6.7 inches (2640 x 1080p) Dynamic AMOLED 2x foldable FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is an Armor Aluminium frame on the phones and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 will protect the display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Victus+ on top with a larger 3.4-inch (748 x 720p) OLED secondary HD display. It is now powered by SD 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB/512GB internal storage.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 5G still features the new set of dual rear cameras with a 50MP main wide sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, dual PD, and 12MP ultra-wide f/2.2 aperture with 123-degrees FoV and LED flash. There is the same 10MP selfie sensor with an aperture of f/2.4.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 5G features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and gets an IPX8 rating making it dust and water-resistant. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM (1-eSIM+1-SIM) with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G, Dual-Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3 USB Type-C port, and NFC.
The device packs a 4000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging & 15W wireless charging. It runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 on top. It folds into a pocket-friendly size (85.1 x 71.9 x 14.9 mm) while remaining lightweight at 187g when unfolded (165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm).
Galaxy AI Features:
They will run Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 on top, which includes Galaxy AI. There will be features like Circle to Search, Interpreter Mode, and Notes Summarization available to users. However, there is no mention of any new AI features for foldables.
