The Xiaomi 15 series of smartphones is expected to be unveiled in China in October. Xiaomi 15 rumours are slowly leaking information about the lineup several months before launch. As revealed by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the 15 Pro will have a major optical zoom upgrade.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro engineering prototype will feature a 5x optical zoom periscope telephoto lens with the IMX8 sensor, according to the tipster. Additionally, it will support AI super-resolution algorithms.
There is no periscope telephoto camera on the Xiaomi 14 Pro. With a 3.2x optical zoom, it features a Samsung S5KJN1 50-megapixel telephoto camera. As a result, the 15 Pro should provide significantly better zoom capabilities.
The tipster previously revealed that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a 50-megapixel main camera. There is a possibility that the OV50K OmniVision 50-megapixel primary camera will be used.
Variable aperture was supported by the previous model’s primary camera, but not the 15 Pro. The details of the ultra-wide camera on the 15 Pro have yet to leak. Like the 14 Pro, it will likely have a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.
Xiaomi 15 Pro will feature an OLED panel with a resolution of 2K and a refresh rate of 120Hz, according to other reports. It comes with a 5,400mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
