Recent leaks indicate that HMD is very busy working on a bunch of own-brand smartphones, some of which will be available in India on July 25. The new HMD Crest series promises “a new era of portraits.”
Additionally, the phones will have a “glass back finish”, a “stunning screen”, “unmatched clarity in every shot”, and “easy self-repair”. Last, they should be made in India and boast “super-fast & stable performance”.
Amazon’s special teaser microsite for the upcoming device revealed all of these details. There will be a Crest and Crest Max 5G, and “Crest” is the new name for the HMD Arrow – the reason for the name change is unclear. According to reports, the 5G model will use the Unisoc T760 SoC.
HMD Crest’s brand ambassador will be Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra.
