We now have our first design leak of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which shows a new, updated design. Rather than pursuing a stem, Google is sticking with the buds form factor.

As revealed by a Spigen case leak on Amazon, Google will be naming its next pair of headphones Pixel Buds Pro 2.

Besides the new colour, which might be called “Raspberry” or “Peony”, we also see a new design for the buds. It takes up more space and is taller than before since the capacitive touch sensors are located at the top. It used to be a perfect dome.

Instead of being black, the two pill-shaped grills are now colour-matched. By placing them slightly differently, they stand out less.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 appears to have the same egg-shaped case design and dimensions as the original. Near the USB-C charging port, there is a cutout in the case. It could be for a lanyard – though this third-party accessory added a clip – or a speaker for the Find My Device network, as with the AirPods Pro 2.
