As of June, Google had not revealed how many products it would unveil on August 13. Google is rumoured to introduce the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Google just confirmed the Pixel 9 Pro Fold exists and gave us our first look at the smartphone.
On its X account, Google’s Indian branch also teased the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in a different colour, as well as confirmed its August 14 debut. Another teaser showed the Pixel 9 Pro and confirmed its unveiling on August 13.
A pill-shaped camera cut-out was revealed in the teaser. A thinner and narrower screen aspect ratio was previously rumored.
The teaser doesn’t show the camera for the inner screen, but it’s said to use a punch-hole camera on the left side of the screen instead of the bezel in the first fold.
In the U.S., the Pixel Fold was launched for USD 1799 (roughly Rs. 1,50,450), so the Pixel 9 Pro Fold should cost more.
On August 13, 2024, the ‘Made by Google’ launch event will begin at 10 a.m. PT (10:30 p.m. IST). On YouTube and on the Google Store website, Google will livestream the event.
